Gaithersburg Crime: 11 Residential Burglaries, 3 Aggravated Assaults and More

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for July 2 through July 10. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • A sexual assault occurred at Green Farm Conservation Park at 8711 Snouffer School Road on Monday, July 9 around 5 p.m.

  • An armed robbery occurred near the intersection of Amity Circle and Amity Drive on Wednesday, July 4 around 9:10 p.m.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 8800 block of Cross Country Place on Monday, July 2 around 12:30 a.m.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in th 400 block of West Diamond Avenue on Monday, July 9 around 2:30 p.m. The suspect—a 22-year-old male from Germantown—was known to the victim and arrested.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the unit block of North Summit Drive on Monday, July 2 around 12:45 a.m.
  • A strong-arm robbery occurred at Shadow Oak Drive and Forest View Place on Wednesday, July 4 around 12:40 a.m.
  • A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Friday, July 6 around 9:30 p.m. Two males from Gaithersburg, aged 16 and 17, were arrested, along with a 17-year-old male from Germantown.
  • Residential burglaries occurred in the 500 block of Odendhal Avenue between midnight on Wednesday, July 4 and 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10. Entry to the homes was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 18000 block of Mill Creek Road between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 8000 block of Cloverwood Court on Tuesday, July 3 around 6:04 p.m. Entry to the home was forced and it's unclear if anything was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 8900 block of North Westland Drive on Tuesday, July 10 around 4:47 p.m.
  • A residential burglary occurred occurred in the 1800 block of Windjammer Way on Tuesday, July 3 around 4 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 18600 block of Grosbreak Terrace on Thursday, July 5 between 9:15 a.m. and 9:55 a.m.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 9900 block of Ridgeline Drive between 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 7 and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 8. Entry to the home was forced and property was taken.
  • A residential bruglary occurred in the 300 block of West Deer Park Road on Tuesday, July 3 between midnight and 6:32 p.m.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of Palmtree Drive on Saturday, July 7 between 1:45 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and no property was taken. A 19-year-old male from Gaithersburg was arrested.
  • A residential burglary was reported in the unit block of Bralan Court on Tuesday, July 10 around 1:45 p.m.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 16000 block of Copen Meadow Drive between 9 a.m. on Friday, July 6 and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, July 9. Entry to the home was forced and property was taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at the United States Postal Office at 10079 Stedwick Road on Monday, July 9 around 7:35 p.m. Entry to the post office was forced and property was taken.
  • Three thefts from vehicles occurred on Morning Light Terrace between 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 7 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 8. Entry to the cars was not forced. GPS units, cash and other electronics were taken.
