Gaithersburg Crime: Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Peeping Tom and More

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County Police released a crime summary for Aug. 20 through Aug. 29. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • An armed robbery occurred at Washington Grove Road and Midcounty Highway on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 3:25 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and took property.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 9600 block of Brassie Way on Tuesday, Aug. 28 just after 4 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
    • Arrested: Female, age 25, from Montgomery Village
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 9200 block of Chadburn Place on Friday, Aug. 24 just after 7 p.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon.
  • A strong arm robbery occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 28 around 5:20 p.m. at Hazelcrest Drive and Cottage Hill Court. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of Girard Street on Monday, Aug. 20 between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at the construction site in the 7300 block of Muncaster Mill Road between Thursday, Aug. 23 at 3:30 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 24 at 6 a.m. Entry to the site was forced and property was taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at Grey Goose Farm, located at 5317 Brookeville Road, between Saturday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 26 at 9.m. Entry to the farm was forced and property was taken.
  • A vehicle theft occurred on Sunday, Aug. 26 between 12:01 a.m.and 7 a.m. in the 18900 block of Montgomery Village Avenue.
  • A vehicle theft occurred on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 3:40 p.m. in the 500 block of South Frederick Avenue.
  • A vehicle theft occurred between Friday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 26 in the unit block of Barclay Lane.
  • Two vehicle-related thefts occurred between Thursday, Aug. 23 at 11 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 24 around 2:40 a.m. in the 7200 block of Cliff Pine Drive in Gaithersburg. Property taken includes a watch, cash and a wallet.
  • A peeping tom incident occurred in the unit block of McCausland Place on Tuesday, Aug. 21 around 10 p.m.
    • Arrested: Male, age 36, from Gaithersburg
