Gaithersburg Crime: Assault at Gaithersburg Marriott, BP Gas Station Armed Robbery and More

The following information was provided by the Montgomery County Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for Feb. 25 through March 5. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 18300 block of Hallmark Court on Wednesday, Feb. 27, between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Entry to the home was forced and property was taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred in the 100 block of Park Avenue between Thursday, Feb. 28, and Friday, March 1. Entry to the property was not forced and it's unclear what was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 19000 block of Mills Choice Road in Montgomery Village on Thursday, Feb. 28, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • An armed robbery occurred at the BP station, located at 19304 Montgomery Village Avenue, on Friday, March 1, just after 11 a.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. 
  • An attempted sexual assault occurred in the 100 block of Bowspirit Court on Saturday, March 2, at 9:15 a.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • A sexual assault occurred on Saturday, March 2, at an unknown time in the 19000 block of Capehart Drive in Montgomery Village. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 10200 block of Cove Ledge Court in Montgomery Village on Saturday, March 2, just before 5 a.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • An aggravated assault was reported at the Marriott Hotel, located at 9801 Washingtonian Boulevard, on Saturday, March 2, just before midnight. No further details are available.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 900 block of Clopper Road on Monday, March 4, around 5:30 p.m. Entry to the home is unknown, nothing was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Watkins Station Circle on Tuesday, March 5, around 5:30 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • Three vehicle-related thefts occurred during this reporting period at different location on different dates. Vehicles on Quince Orchard Road, Galesville Drive and Goodport Court were targeting. Where entry was made, loose items were taken.
