Gaithersburg Crime: Indecent Exposure, Six Residential Burglaries and More

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County Police released a crime summary for Aug. 13 through Aug. 21. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • A 51-year old Gaithersburg man was charged in an indecent exposure incident which occurred in the 100 block of Duvall Lane on Monday, Aug. 13 around 9:45 a.m.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the unit block of North Summit Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 8 p.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and was arrested.
  • A strong arm robbery occurred in the 19000 block of Montgomery Village Avenue on Tuesday, Aug. 21 around 7:20 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
  • An attempted stong arm robbery occurred in the 800 block of Trotters Ridge Lane on Sunday, Aug. 19 just before 7 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to remove property. The victim successfully fought back and the suspects fled. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 17700 block of Larchmont Terrace on Wednesday, Aug. 15 between 5:30 a.m. and 6:15 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 17700 block of Larchmont Terrace on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 4 p.m.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Grantchester Place on Saturday, Aug. 18.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Autumn Hill Way on Saturday, Aug. 18 between 3:30 and 11 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred on Thursday, Aug. 16 in the 18700 block of Severn Road.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 10000 block of Ridgeline Drive on Friday, Aug. 17.
  • A garage burglary occurred in the unit block of Halfpenny Court on Saturday, Aug. 18 between midnight and 5 a.m. Three purses were stolen from unlocked vehicles.
  • Three vehicle-related thefts occurred between Thursday, Aug. 16 and Friday, Aug. 17. There was no sign of forced entry to any vehicles. Clothing and a video game console were among the items stolen from vehicles on Keymar Way, Transhire Way and Thomas Farm Road.
