Gaithersburg Crime: O'Donnell's Burgled, Wendy's Assault, Pizza Hut Robbery and More

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for Dec. 17 through Dec. 26. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • An attempted strong-arm robbery occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle on Thursday, Dec. 20, just before 6 a.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at the O'Donnell's Restaurant, located at 311 Kentlands Boulevard, on Friday, Dec. 21 around 6:30 a.m. Entry to the business was forced and nothing was taken.
  • A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 300 block of Summit Hall Road on Friday, Dec. 21 around 5 p.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at Cube Smart, located at 8001 Snouffer School Road, between Saturday, Dec. 23 and Sunday, Dec. 24. Property was taken from outside the facility.
  • Three commercial burglaries occurred after midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 25:
    • Mullaney Engineering, located at 9049 Shady Grove Court. Entry was forced and nothing was taken.
    • Allstate Insurance, located at 8949 Shady Grove Court. Nothing was taken.
    • Medical Office, located at 9001 Shady Grove Court. Property was taken.
  • An aggravated assault occurred at the Wendy's Restaurant, located at 18350 Contour Road on Tuesday, Dec. 25.
  • A strong-arm robbery occurred in the area of Odendhal Avenue and Lost Knife Road on Tuesday, Dec. 25 around 1:15 a.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property.
  • An armed robbery occurred at the Pizza Hut at the Festival Shopping Center on Muddy Branch Road on Wednesday, Dec. 26 around 1:40 p.m.
  • An attempted strong-arm robbery occurred in the 7600 block of Laytonia Drive on Wednesday, Dec. 26 around 10:30 p.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property.
  • A burglary occurred at Angela's Hairstyling & Braiding, located at 8653 Zetts Avenue, on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 12:35 a.m. Entry to the business was forced and property was taken.
