Gaithersburg Crime: Residential, Commercial Burglaries, Armed Robbery and More

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for Nov. 19 through Nov. 27. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of North Frederick Avenue between Monday, Nov. 19, at 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 7:40 a.m. Entry to the home was forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7600 block of Laytonia Drive on Tuesday, Nov. 20, between 2:30 and 2:50 p.m. Entry to the home was forced and nothing was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 8400 block of Meadow Green Way on Wednesday, Nov. 21, between 8:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Entry to the home was forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 8600 block of Hawk Run Terrace on Wednesday, Nov. 21, between 7:10 and 7:15 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Fence Line Drive overnight between Wednesday, Nov. 21, and Thursday, Nov. 22. Entry was forced into a shed and property was taken.
  • An assault occurred in the 9800 block of Apple Ridge Road on Thursday, Nov. 22, around 11:10 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at Allstate Insurance, located at 8949 Shady Grove Court, between Saturday, Nov. 24, 12:30 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 26, at 8:30 a.m. Entry to the business was forced and nothing was taken.
  • A commercial armed robbery occurred at the Subway restaurant, located at 501 North Frederick Avenue, on Sunday, Nov. 25, around 5:35 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
