Gaithersburg Crime: School Burglary, Lost Knife Robberies and More

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for Jan. 21 through Jan. 29. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • Two thefts from vehicles occurred, one each on Suffolk Terrace and Bayswater Road between Monday, Jan. 21, and Tuesday, Jan. 22. Entry to the cars were not forced and loose change was taken.
  • A robbery occurred at Laytonia Drive and Cactus Court on Tuesday, Jan. 22, just before 4 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
  • A burglary occurred at the Top Hat Montessori School, located at 18243 Flower Hill Way in Redland, between Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 a.m. Entry to the school was forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Thursday, Jan. 24, between 7 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. Entry to the home is unknown and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7900 block of Pearlbush Drive on Saturday, Jan. 26, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Entry to the home is unknown and property was taken.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the unit block of McCausland Place on Sunday, Jan. 27. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • A robbery occurred at the Transit Center, located at 9650 Lost Knife Road in Montgomery Village, on Monday, Jan. 28, around 10:20 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
  • A robbery occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Monday, Jan. 28, around 10:20 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
