Gaithersburg Crime Summary

An 18-year-old Gaithersburg teenager was arrested on Sept. 28 in connection with an aggravated assault on the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Gaithersburg.

Montgomery County Police responded to the 7-11 at 8035 Snouffer School Rd. in Gaithersburg shortly after an armed robbery occurred at the location at about 12:40 a.m. on Sept. 28. The police log indicates the suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and stole property. The suspect was described as a 25- to 30-year-old male, approximately 5'8", wearing all black and a mask.

A shoplifting incident escalated into aggravated assault at the Advanced Auto Parts, located at 644 Quince Orchard Rd. in Gaithersburg, on Sept. 27 around 3 p.m. The suspect attempt to steal property and then threatened a victim with a weapon. The suspect was described as a 30- to 35-year-old male, about 5’6” to 5’8”, approximately 160 lbs., wearing a long black puffy winter coat.

• A residential burglary was reported on the 9900 block of Shelburne Terrace in Gaithersburg on Oct. 3 between 8:40 a.m. and 9:55 a.m. There were signs of forced entry and property was stolen.
• A residential burglary was reported on the in the 9800 block of Mahogany Drive in Gaithersburg on Sept. 29 between 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. There were signs of forced entry and property was stolen.
• A residential burglary was reported on the 7300 block of Tarfside Lane in Gaithersburg on Oct. 2 between midnight and 3 a.m. Means of entry into the home is unknown. Property was stolen.
• Theft from a vehicle was reported on the 7400 block of Lake Katrine Terrace in Gaithersburg. The crime occurred sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 29. Means of entry into the vehicle is unknown. Property was stolen.
• Theft from a vehicle was reported on the unit block of Tarfside Court in Gaithersburg. The crime occurred sometime between 8 p.m. on Sept. 28 and 5 p.m. on Sept. 29. Means of entry into the vehicle is unknown. Property was stolen.
• Theft from a vehicle was reported on the unit block of Filbert Court in Gaithersburg. The crime occurred sometime between 6 a.m. on Sept. 28 and 10 a.m. Sept. 29. Means of entry into the vehicle is unknown. Property was stolen.
