Gaithersburg Man Arrested On Attempted Murder Charges In Rockville

Hector Antonio Medina faces charges of attempted first degree murder and more, WUSA 9 reports.

A Gaithersburg man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder in a stabbing incident in the 800 block of Baltimore Road in Rockville, WUSA 9 reports.

"Hector Antonio Medina was identified as a suspect after both county and Rockville City police responded to an Oct. 22 report of a stabbing in the Burgundy [Park] Shopping Center at 10:20 p.m.," according to the report.

Medina also faces charges of first degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment.

A Rockville city police report said that as a man was leaving a restaurant to go home, he was followed by three unknown subjects, one of whom asked for a cigarette. The man complied. As the complainant was getting into his vehicle, one of the subjects stabbed the man three times, the police report said. All three subjects fled the scene in the direction of First Street, police said.
