During the ride, police say, Dudley made sexual advances and touched the victim's groin area.

The victim asked to be let out of the car, but Dudley brandished a knife and demanded the victim's property. After handing over the property, the victim got out near Gaithersburg Elementary School.

Then, on Dec. 28, Dudley allegedly drove up to the victim again as the victim was walking on E. Diamond Avenue and asked the victim to get in the car.

The victim refused and walked to the nearby Gaithersburg Police Department and filed a report.

Dudley was developed as a suspect after police obtained a partial license plate number.

He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.

Police are asking anyone else who thinks they may have been a victim of Dudley to call the Gaithersburg Police Investigative Section at 301-258-6400.

ORIGINAL POST: Police are narrowing in on a suspect after a Gaithersburg man was robbed at knife-point two weeks ago in Olde Towne.

Officer Dan Lane, a spokesman for the Gaithersburg Police Department, said detectives have a partial licence plate number and a good description of the suspect from the victim, who lives on N. Summit Avenue.

On Dec. 23 around 10:15pm, the victim was walking on W. Diamond Avenue near the intersection of Fulks Corner Avenue when the suspect, a white man of unknown age, pulled up in a newer-model two-door dark-blue Honda, Lane said.

The suspect asked if the victim needed a ride home. The victim said he did, and got in, Lane said.

After a short drive, when the vehicle was near Gaithersburg Elementary School, the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded property from the victim. The victim complied, and the driver dropped the victim off at the school and drove away, Lane said.

Detectives are investigating if the two knew each other.

The victim didn't report the crime right away, Lane said. But on Dec. 29, the victim went to police after he saw the same car and worried that the suspect was following him.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5'4 and 5'6, weighing about 240lbs.

Lane added that police haven't been able to link this crime to any others.
