Gaithersburg Police Seek Help ID'ing Suspects in Parking Lot Stabbings

Detectives are investigating assaults in the Olde Towne Gaithersburg area on Dec. 16, 2012.

Gaithersburg police are seeking help from the public in identifying three potential suspects in a Dec. 16, 2012 aggravated assault in Olde Towne.

At 2 a.m. on Dec. 16, an officer patrolling the 200 block of East Diamond Avenue was stopped by a citizen who stated he was stabbed by a group of unknown males, police said. As the officer was investigating, a call was dispatched for a second victim who was stabbed in the area of Brookes and Park Avenue. 

Police said the incident took place in the parking lot area of Mi Pueblitos Restaurant, located at 6 North Summit Avenue. The three suspects are described as Hispanic males, age 25-30, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, police said, adding they were all believed to be in the vicinity of the restaurant at 2 a.m.

Both stabbing victims sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated at local hospitals, police said.
