Gaithersburg Police Seek Performance Evaluation From Public

The Gaithersburg Police Department is seeking performance evaluations from the public, the department announced Thursday.

"In an effort to recognize officers and other employees who provide exemplary service, the Gaithersburg Police Department is inviting community members or visitors who have had a positive experience with any police employee, or the Department as a whole, to submit a commendation.

"In those instances where the service delivered by the Department or any of its employees is considered substandard, individuals are encouraged to bring the matter to the Department’s attention immediately," Gaithersburg police said in a news release. "In a fair, thorough and impartial manner, the Gaithersburg Police Department investigates all complaints made against the Department or its members."

Commendation and complaint forms can be picked up at the Gaithersburg Police Station, located at 14 Fulks Corner Avenue. They can also be submitted via email, by telephone (301-258-6400) or by completing the online Citizen Police Survey.
