Germantown Woman Dies From Prior Chain-Reaction Crash

Dorothy Jean Rudnicki, 71, passed away Oct. 18 .

A woman involved in a chain-reaction car crash earlier this month in Germantown has died, Montgomery County police said.

Dorothy Jean Rudnicki, 71, passed away Oct. 18 from injuries she suffered in an Oct. 11 crash, police said in a news release, citing a medical examiner’s determination.

The crash happened at around 1:30 p.m. at Clopper and Waring Station roads. Police said the crash was spurred after Rudnicki’s crossed over into oncoming traffic on Cloppper Road, where she hit an Acura. Police said the Acura later struck by a car unable to stop in time.

The driver of the Acura was taken to the hospital from the scene. Police said Rudnicki was taken to the hospital later that evening.

Police said another car traveling west was unable to stop and struck the back of Johnson-Conner’s car.
