Judge Revokes Bond in Beer Pong Sex Assault Case

Police: Gaithersburg man accused of sexually assaulting drunken college student he met at a beer pong tournament.

A judge revoked bond for a Gaithersburg man whom police accuse of sexually assaulting a drunken college student he met at a beer pong tournament, The Washington Post reports.

Montgomery County Circuit Judge Richard E. Jordan said defendant Joey G. Poindexter, a real estate appraiser from Gaithersburg, represented a “clear and present danger” and ordered him held without bond on Friday, The Post reports.

Police allege that Poindexter had “un-consensual forced sex” with at least one college student he met at a beer pong tournament at Looney’s Pub in Takoma Park, Patch has reported.

He was arrested in November after a staged meet-up at a College Park Starbucks.
