Man Charged With Sexual Offense Worked At Lakelands Park Middle

Michel Rosenzweig was charged with five counts of third-degree sexual offense for alleged assaults that took place during summer 2003.

A Germantown man who allegedly sexually assualted an 11-year-old boy eight years ago, worked at Lakelands Park Middle School.

Principal Carole Working informed parents and students that Mike Rosenzweig, 52, who was arrested and charged with five counts of third-degree sexual offense, was an employee of Montgomery County Public Schools from 1999 to 2007.

In a letter sent home with students on Wednesday, Working wrote, "I am sending this letter because, although the individual was never employed by Quince Orchard High School, he did work at schools which send students to our high school and may be known to some of them."

Rosenzweig worked as a para-educator at Stedwick Elementary School in Gaithersburg from 1999 to August 2002 and a security assistant at Neelesville Middle School in Germantown from August 2002 to August 2006 and a security assistant at Lakelands Park Middle School in Gaithersburg from August 2006 to February 2007, Working wrote in the letter.

"Police have indicated that none of the actions that led to his arecent arrest involved his employement at a school," Working said.

The alleged victim, now 18-years-old, contacted police on March 11 to report the abuse which occurred eight years earlier, according to a press release from Montgomery County Police.

The victim met Rosenzweig at the community pool in Germantown during June and July of 2003. According the the release, Rosenzweig followed the victim into the shower area and touched him inappropriately on five occasions.

In February 2011, the victim saw Rosenzweig at an establishment where the victim was working and he was with several children who the victim said were autistic. He obtained Rosenzweig's liscense plate number and reported him to police.

Rosenzweig was a suspect in two other incidents. In 1990 he was alleged to have inappropriately touched several students while teaching at Saint John Evangelist School in Silver Spring in 1990 and in 2006 he allegedly videotaped a teenage boy undressing at his home, police said.
