Montgomery Village Man Killed In Gaithersburg Crash

Luis Kenyo Chambergo-Chanco, 21, of the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village, died at the hospital following a Snouffer School Road car crash.

A 21-year-old Montgomery Village man was killed early Sunday when his Honda Civic collided with another car on Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg, according to Montgomery County Police.

Police say Luis Kenyo Chambergo-Chanco, 21, of the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village, was driving south on Snouffer School Road shortly after midnight. Police say his 2001 Honda Civic traveled into the northbound lanes just north of Centerway Road, and the car struck a 2009 Nissan Rogue that was traveling north.

Chambergo-Chanco was transported to the hospital, where he died, police said.

The driver of the Rogue, Tamara Rabinovich, 48, and the front passenger, Sergey Petrovich Kleyman, 48, both of the 8900 block of Alliston Hollow Way in Gaithersburg, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Anyone who witnessed the crash and hasn't yet spoken with detectives is asked to call the police Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
