The City of Gaithersburg hosted Junior Detective Day at the Kentlands Mansion on Sunday.
City of Gaithersburg police officers joined children ages 5 to 12 Sunday at the Kentlands Mansion for Junior Detective Day.
Kids had the chance to make identification badges and get fingerprinted, learn about neighborhood safety, witness K-9 demonstrations, and explore an actual police car and motorcycle to see all the high tech equipment police officers use.
Upon completion of the program, participants were sworn in as “Junior Detectives” by Gaithersburg Police Chief Mark P. Sroka.
