Police Awaiting Autopsy Results On Body Found In Gaithersburg Pond

The Gazette: Body could have been in pond since Friday night.

Montgomery County police had little new information Monday as they continued an investigation into a body found over the weekend in a Gaithersburg pond.

Detectives were still awaiting autopsy results Monday afternoon, said Capt. Jim Daly, a Montgomery County police spokesperson. The body was found Sunday in the pond near the entrance of the Nike Missile Local Park, located at 8500 Snouffer School Road.

Daly told The Gazette the man appears to be a young adult, age 20 to 25, and could have possibly been in the pond since Friday night.

Montgomery County police released images of the man's tattoos Sunday in hopes someone could identify the body from them.
