UPDATED: Missing 86-Year-Old Found In Virginia

Gaithersburg police seek help from the public in finding an 86-year-old man.

Russel Brown was located earlier this morning in Orange County, Virginia, Montgomery County police spokeswoman Angela Cruz told Patch. He was safe and unharmed, according to a release by Montgomery County police.

Gaithersburg police are attempting to locate an 86-year-old man who has been missing from his residence since 3 p.m. Thursday.

Russel Dickey Brown, of the 400 block of Gaither Street, was last seen driving a 2002 Nissan Maxima with Maryland tag KGC048, police said.

Brown is described as being approximately 6 feet tall, and weighing between 150 to 160 pounds. He has white or gray hair and has a mole on his right temple. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, police said.

Brown has family in Boonsboro, Mt. Airy, and Baltimore and investigators believe he could be in one of those areas. He is also known to frequent the Walnut Hill Shopping Center in Gaithersburg.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Russel Dickey Brown is asked to call police immediately.  Callers may remain anonymous.
