Police Report Attempted Rape
Strong-arm robberies, and residential and commercial burglaries on weekly crime report.
Montgomery County Police reported an attempted rape in the in the 9800 block of Sailfish Terrace in Gaithersburg at 12:21 a.m. May 5. The suspect is known to the victim, police said.
Two strong-arm robberies were reported. In the first, an 18-year-old from Gaithersburg was arrested. It occurred at 10:55 p.m. May 6, in the parking lot of the McDonald's at 666 Quince Orchard Road, Gaithersburg. The alleged robber claimed to have a weapon and took property from the victim, police said.
The other occurred about 6:35 p.m. May 9 on Washingtonian Boulevard over top of the Sam Eig Highway in Gaithersburg. The victim said three individuals assaulted him and took his property.

Two residential burglaries were reported. The first occurred May 2 in the hundred block of Dalamar Street in Gaithersburg.
The other occurred May 8, in the 200 block of Swanton Lane in Gaithersburg.

A commercial burglary occurred between May 2 and May 3 at the Java Junction, 5 S. Summit Ave., Gaithersburg. Police report forced entry and property was taken.
