Recent Crime Summary: Homicide, Attempted Fraud and Burglaries

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

P1 Beat:

  • An attempted residential burglary occurred on Wednesday 5/25 around 8:20 am. In the 300 block of Alderwood Drive.  Attempt only.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the hundred block of Briarstone Lane on Monday 5/30 between 10 pm and 10:30 pm.  Forced entry, nothing taken.

Arrested: Male, 29, of no fixed address.

P2 Beat:

  • No significant activity.

R1 Beat:

  • No significant activity.

 

R2 Beat:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 19600 block of Sparr Spring Road on Wednesday 5/25 between 11 am and 6 pm.  No forced entry; property taken.
  • An attempted fraud occurred at the 7-11, 19235 Watkins Mill Road, on Thursday 5/26 around 3:15 pm. 

Suspect: 2/M 30-40 years, 5’7” to 5’9”, 150-170, short black hair

 

S1 Beat:

  • A homicide occurred in the 700 block of Raven Avenue on Tuesday 5/31 just after 7:30 pm.  See the multiple media releases for more info.
  • An aggravated assault occurred in the hundred block of Brian Court on Sunday 5/29 just before 9 pm between parties that knew each other.  The known suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and fled.
  • Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the parking lot of the Home Depot, 15740 Shady Grove Road.  There were no signs of forced entry in either event:
    —Tue 5/24    4 pm-4:41 pm     Items taken include ham radios, stereo system, and medical equipment.
    —Fri 5/27     10 am-11:30 am  Items taken include GPS and an iPod.

 

S2 Beat:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7600 block of Dew Wood Drive on Thursday 5/26 between 9 am and 1 pm.  Unknown entry, unknown what was taken.
