Police said Paiz convinced Khiry Blue, a man in the Army whom she was co-stationed with in Texas, to kill her husband, Santiago Perez, The Gazette reports, citing records filed in court.

Her husband—who was separated from Paiz—described to police being forced into his backyard by a man who proceeded to strangle him early June 25, 2012, as he left his home on Stedwick Drive, but Perez was able to get away, the newspaper reports.
