Sex Abuse Sentencing Postponed for Gaithersburg Vocal Coach
Timothy M. Ballard was found guilty of abusing 13-year-old male student
Sentencing has been postponed for a Gaithersburg vocal coach found guilty of child sex abuse charges in November.
Originally scheduled to go before a judge Thursday, Timothy M. Ballard, 48, will be sentenced Feb. 10, 2014.
According to court records, Ballard was hired to vocally train a 13-year-old boy. The abuse happened in the basement of Ballard’s home in 2008, when the boy was in eighth grade and reportedly questioning his own sexual identity.
