Silver Spring Man Charged in Gaithersburg Shooting

Brandon Julian Jackson-Green has been arrested in connection with the Feb. 17 incident.

Gaithersburg police have arrested a 26-year-old Silver Spring man in connection with a Feb. 17 shooting on Nancy Place.

Brandon Julian Jackson-Green faces numerous assault and drug charges stemming from what police say was a drug dispute.

At about 10 p.m. Feb. 17, Jackson-Green fired five 9mm shots at the front door of an apartment on Nancy Place, according to police. People were inside the apartment, but no one was injured.

Jackson-Green fled in a Nissan Altima, according to police.

He has been charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a handgun, use of a firearm in a violent crime, malicious destruction of property, discharging a firearm in the city limits, possession of a dangerous weapon within the city limits, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm while engaged in drug trafficking, according to a police news release.

Jackson-Green is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center.
