Slain Girl's Family To Move Out of House

"They don't want to live there anymore," a family friend said.

As police continue to investigate the stabbing death of 12-year-old Jessica Nguyen, the girl's family has had enough.

They are moving out of the house on Raven Avenue where the murder occurred, ABC7 reports.

Patch independently confirmed the report with a member of Nguyen's Silver Spring church.

“They don't want to live here anymore,” Lihn Le, a family friend, told ABC7. She was at the Nguyen family’s house Tuesday to help them pack, ABC7 reported.

Wednesday, police that Nguyen was stabbed to death — before they had only released that she sustained trauma to her upper body.

Few details have come to light about the grisly murder, including whether the police have directed their investigation toward any suspects.

Nguyen, a sixth-grader at Gaithersburg Middle School, was an honor roll student.

On Monday, family and friends held a at Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church in Silver Spring, then buried her at All Souls Cemetery in Germantown.

The home is in foreclosure, according to court documents.
