Suspect Sought In Wednesday Morning Attempted Armed Robbery

Gaithersburg police are looking for a man in connection to a stabbing in the 100 block of Gold Kettle Drive on Wednesday morning.

Gaithersburg police are investigating a stabbing that occurred at approximately 7:25 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Gold Kettle Drive.

According to police, the female victim was in her vehicle preparing to leave when an unknown Hispanic male approached on the passenger side and engaged her in conversation. The suspect proceeded to walk around to the driver side door, opened it and demanded property.

A struggle ensued and the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, police said. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle in an unknown direction and the victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, age 35-37, between 5 feet and 5 feet 1 inch tall, according to police. He has a think build with short black hair and was last seen wearning a blue shirt and black pants. The suspect was armed with a large knife.
