Two Killed in Gaithersburg Crash Sunday

Police: One woman was ejected from her vehicle.

Two people were killed in a crash in Gaithersburg over the weekend, Montgomery County police said in a news release.

Bok Sun Kim, 67 of Gaithersburg, was ejected from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Jared Lee Fondren, 41, of Utah, died at a local hospital.

At around 7 p.m. Sunday, police responded to reports of a crash at Quince Orchard Road and Quince Orchard Boulevard.

Investigators determined that Kim, who had the green light, was trying to turn left onto eastbound Quince Orchard Road when she was struck by Fondren’s Dodge Durango, which was travelling west on Quince Orchard Road.

Police have asked anyone with information about this crash to call police at the 240-773-6620.
