Of Dinwiddie, Tomasello said, "Maura is a wonderful representative of city staff, a collaborative and effective community partner and most importantly a wonderful influence on the youth of Gaithersburg."

The recreation program supervisor works with the Community Services Division on many occasions as the Youth Opportunities Coalition coordinator and coordinates service projects and educational events for the members of the Student Union and Forever Sisters.

"I really just want to thank everyone who was a part of this nomination," Dinwiddie said. "Without the youth of Gaithersburg we wouldn't have the opportunity to do what we do."

The Facilities Maintentance Team, under the leadership of Justin Storm, exemplifies the attributes of quality customer service on a daily basis, Tomasello said.

"The unit is small in relation to the overall work requirements thereby increasing the difficulty of their responsiveness," the Acting City Manager said. "Yet the team by working very closely together, by complementing the skills sets of each member, and by communicating with their customers not only satisfy but exceed expectations on a routine basis."

Dinwiddie and the entire Facilities Maintenance Team were presented with certificate of the award by Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney A. Katz.
