Community Green Up Day: There are a variety of sites to volunteer your time
Spring cleaning takes on new meaning during this year's community-wide Green Up Day on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 9 a.m. until noon. Hundreds of volunteers and organizations will pitch in to clean up streams, schools, parks, and homeowner association common areas.
Please wear clothing and footwear that are weather appropriate and that can get dirty, muddy, or wet. Although the City supplies equipment, volunteers are welcome to bring their own gardening materials and gloves for landscape and planting projects.
For those interested in earning Student Service Learning (SSL) hours, please sign in when you arrive, and bring all paperwork with you.
