Gaithersburg City Offices Open Late Monday, No Recycling Pickup

Gaithersburg city offices will open late Monday. There will be no recycling pickup today.

From a news release:

Due to weather conditions, the City of Gaithersburg will open for business at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 17. Liberal leave is in effect for non-essential employees.

City of Gaithersburg snow removal crews have been on the roads since 2 a.m. Patience is requested as they work diligently to plow all streets in the city. Please be mindful that when shoveling your sidewalks, driveways and parking spaces, do not put snow back into the roadway.  This could delay the snow removal efforts and hinder access to your community.

Residents are reminded that they are responsible for clearing sidewalks abutting their property. This is often easier to accomplish if done during or immediately following the weather event. Remember to clear snow from around fire hydrants in neighborhoods as well.
