Gaithersburg Labor Day Closures

While most City of Gaithersburg facilities will be closed on Labor Day, the following places will operate on a modified schedule: 

• Water Park will be open 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• Miniature Golf Course will be open 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
• Skate Park will be open from noon until sunset.
• Police Administrative Offices will maintain normal business hours.

Changes to trash, recycling schedules 

Recycling schedule
If your recycling collection is handled by the city and your regular pickup day is Monday, Sept. 2, your trash pick up will moved up—to Saturday, Aug. 31. 

Trash pick-up schedule
Otherwise, regular garbage collection for city residents is handled by private contractors. Please contact your HOA or your private contractor regarding the holiday collection schedule for these materials. 

Bulk item pick-up schedule
Bulk items are collected by City crews on the first recycling day of the month. Bulk pickup for residents whose regular bulk pickup day is Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, will take place the following Monday, Sept. 9.
