The following news was released by the City of Gaithersburg this week:

Mayor and Council Meeting Canceled

  • The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council worksession scheduled for Monday, June 25 has been canceled. The next regular meeting of the Mayor and City Council will be held on Monday, July 2 at 7:30 p.m., at City Hall.

Council VP Ryan Spiegel to Meet with National Leaders, Policy Experts

  • Gaithersburg City Council Vice President Ryan Spiegel will meet with U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and other national political leaders in Washington, DC at the seventh annual meeting of the Young Elected Officials (YEO) Network from June 21-24. Spiegel will discuss local and state policy initiatives, participate in a healthcare forum and meet with over 200 elected officials from around the country.

Camera Club Exhibits at Kentlands Mansion

  • Photographs by the Gaithersburg Camera Club are on display at the Kentlands Mansion until July 22. The exhibit, titled The Photographer's Eye, is juried by Mark van Bergh.
