Gaithersburg’s Finance Director Retires

Harold Belton will be honored Monday during the Gaithersburg City Council meeting.

Gaithersburg City Council will honor Harold Belton, who retired Friday as the city’s Director of Finance and Administration

Belton held the position for18 years.

Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney A. Katz is expected to present a proclamation declaring Monday “Harold W. Belton Day.” City manager Tony Tomasello is expected to present Belton with a clock.

Kim Yocklin, of city’s Human Resources department, said Gaithersburg’s Comptroller, Tina Smith, would serve as acting director until the position is filled.
