On The Agenda

A contract for the rolling stock exhibit, and a resolution to participate in the Sustainable Maryland Certified Municipal Certification Program.

The Mayor and Council will be looking at a brief agenda tonight, but it does contains two items of note.

The first major item is a $356,000 expenditure for the 's rolling stock exhibit.

Tucked into the consent items category—which means the council will vote to approve or deny, usually without discussion—the money will go to Worcester Eisenbrandt of Baltimore to restore and provide a Budd car from the B&O Railroad Museum.

The second major item the Council will consider is a resolution to participate in the Sustainable Maryland Certified Municipal Certification Program.

The program is run by the University of Maryland's Environmental Finance Center, and is a way for municipalities to find cost-effective ways to protect their natural and environmental assets.
