On The Agenda: MedImmune Briefing

The Gaithersburg mayor and City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall's council chambers.

The lone agenda item for Monday evening's Gaithersburg mayor and City Council work session is a briefing from Executive Vice President of Operations Andy Skibo.

Skibo will provide an overview of the company’s status and ambitions, its vision, and its relationship with the city of Gaithersburg, according to the city.

MedImmune has its corporate headquarters and other research and development offices in Gaithersburg. The company researches and produces biologic medications to prevent and cure diseases.

Other announcements on tonight's work session include:

  • There will be no regularly scheduled mayor and City Council meeting on Monday, Sept. 17, due to the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah.
  • On Monday, Sept. 24, the mayor and City Council will conduct a work session to receive the results from the Kentlands Main Street Survey and discuss a proposed text amendment providing zoning regulations for fortunetellers.
  • The next regular meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, at City Hall.
