On The Agenda: Region Forward Plan Presentation

The Gaithersburg mayor and City Council will hear a presentation on the Region Forward Plan and city performance during Monday evening's worksession.

According to city documents:

The Region Forward Plan is based upon shared goals across the National Capital Region. The goal categories include Land Use, Transportation, Environmental, Climate and Energy, Economic, Housing, Health and Human Services, Education, and Public Safety and encourage leaders to think regionally when acting locally.

The Region Forward Plan offers specific targets to measure the progress in achieving the Plan’s goals. In most cases the targets are specific short-term and long-term milestones for the region and will be used by COG to evaluate the region as a whole, rather than individual jurisdictions.
