The Gaithersburg mayor and City Council will hear comment from the public on the city's proposed "Whistleblower Ordinance" at Monday night's City Council meeting.
The ordinance is intended to promote the reporting and investigation of illegal actions in municipal government and the city anticipates its adoption on Dec. 17.
Other items on Monday's agenda include:
- Proclamation of the mayor and City Council designating November 2012 as “National American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month” in the city of Gaithersburg

- Resolution of the mayor and City Council Authorizing the city manager to negotiate and execute a Note and Covenant and a Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) Agreement with Montgomery Housing Partnership, Inc. for the purchase and renovation of 439 North Frederick Avenue
