Celebrate Life of Gaithersburg Coach John Harvill March 1

The public can attend a celebration of life for the late John Harvill on Saturday. The teacher and coach spent his education career at Gaithersburg.

A public Celebration of Life for the late John Harvill, a teacher and coach at Gaithersburg High School for almost five decades, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the school auditorium.

Harvill led the Trojans for 43 seasons, winning two state titles and compiling 312 victories before retiring in 2000, reports Gazette.Net. When he retired he was the all-time winningest football coach in the state.

Harvill led the Trojans to state titles in 1986 and 1992 and four undefeated seasons, says The Washington Post.
