JSSA will also be offering a monthly family member support group for people concerned about a relative with hoarding behaviors. Beth Shapiro, a licensed clinical social worker with many years of experience with hoarding behaviors and with family caregivers, will facilitate the group, which will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month starting November 22, 2011. The group offers a friendly, confidential environment in which family members can share their feelings and discuss options for support. The cost is $15 per session.
