Nutrition Basics: Going With the Whole Grain

What's in a grain? If it's a whole grain, a lot of healthful nutrients!  In this class, we'll define a whole grain and discuss how to find them on the grocery store shelf. More importantly, we'll demonstrate how to use whole grains and grain products to make scrumptious and nutritious meals, snacks, and even desserts. Be prepared to be introduced to some members of the grain family that may be new to you. As with all Manna nutrition classes, each participant will go home with a recipe or two and several of the ingredients needed to make those culinary creations at home.
