“Save Your Money” Day Features Financial Education, Tax Help

On Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 1 to 4 p.m., Family Services, Inc. will host “Save Your Money” Day.  The event will feature information on the earned income tax credit, Bank On Gaithersburg free account programs, appointments for free tax assistance, financial education resources, free children’s books and activities, and a host of other community resources.

The event is free and open to all low to moderate income families in Montgomery County.  Family Services, Inc. is located at 630 E. Diamond Ave. in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  It is accessible by Ride On Bus #57 or #61 north or south, or from the Shady Grove Metro Station.

“Save Your Money” Day is presented by Family Services, Inc., in cooperation with Bank On Gaithersburg, Capital One Bank, the Coalition for the Advancement of Financial Education – Montgomery MD, Community Action Agency of the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, First Book – Montgomery MD, and the Maryland CASH Campaign.
