Event Description: The Federal Trade Commission reports that nearly 9 million Americans have their identities stolen every year. Don’t be one of these statistics. Learn how you can better protect your information and ultimately, your identity.

Participants will learn:
-Ways to make smart consumer choices, whether buying at thrift stores, shopping for a car, household items,  groceries or saving money, and
-How to avoid common consumer scams such as ID Theft, Work at Home scams, Credit Repair scams and more.

This class is provided by: Family Services, Inc., www.familyservicesagency.org and taught by Sue Rogan, Director of Financial Education with MD CASH Campaign.

In 1959, the organization's name was changed to Family Services Agency. To meet the needs of the ever-changing Montgomery County population, Family Services has expanded and now houses 14 different programs! Today, Family Services is still committed to making a long-lasting impact on families. Through its innovative early childhood, educational, and behavioral health programs, Family Services makes a difference in the community.
