Montgomery College Crunch Time

Registration, seminars and musical performances highlight the final week of classes

It's the last week of classes for the Fall 2010 semester students!

Starting on Monday exams will be held college-wide. Be sure to check "My MC" for your class exam schedules.

Registration for the Winter and Spring 2011 sessions is taking place online, and starting  Friday, in-person registration will begin on campus.  You can meet with your advisor or a class counselor and check what credits you should be taking to further progress toward your degree.

Aside from the end of the semester and exams, Montgomery College's Rockville campus is hosting some events to take your mind off the stress.

On Wednesday, there will be a Red Jacket End-of-Semester Reception from 4 to 6 p.m. in Humanities 111. This is a chance for those interested to come and ask questions about the student-produced journal of arts and literature, including how to submit work.  For more information on this event click here.

Interested in "jumpstarting" your college career?  On Thursday, Montgomery College hosts Dr. Shawna Acker-Ball and Barbara Gleason for "How to Jumpstart Your College Career." Seats are limited and you must reserve your spot prior to attending.  The program runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and will feature important and beneficial information about the different ways you can accelerate your college degree. If you're looking for ways to get ahead at MC, this is a great seminar to attend. It is sponsored by the Office of Adult Student Services. Click here for more information and to reserve a seat.

Also Thursday, the MC Wind Ensemble and MC Flute Ensemble will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Robert E. Parilla Performing Art Center. Conductors Vincent Patterson and Vanita Hall Jones encourage all to come out and see the talent of these MC musical ensembles.
