@Sm Potatoes - Now Blogging on Patch!

Small Potatoes Blog: baked, mashed, fried or buried in dirt…politics and issues, live from Gaithersburg, MD. www.smallpotatoesblog.com, facebook/smallpotatoesblog, twitter: SmPotatoes

Hi Patch readers!  Small Potatoes is so excited to have been invited to blog with you!  Thanks for reaching out, Patch!

Have you seen Small Potatoes Blog yet?  No?  Let your fingers do the walking and check out the hottest little guilty pleasure reading this side of the beltway -  www.smallpotatoesblog.com - for a full overview of local issues and politics!

Why did I start blogging?  Well, I’m just a mom with a writing itch, a lot of opinions, and clearly too much time on my hands between work, 2 great kids, and myriad volunteer projects around town.  I haven’t learned how to say no to new adventures, and I’m enjoying every minute of it.  Plus, I just wanted to shake things up a bit!

The City Council will give us only 3 minutes to testify before them, and you have to show up on a Monday night.  How does that work for the average person?  Well, it’s 2012 and words are limitless on a blog.  Be informed!

Want to know more….please read my original small potatoes blog post.

I'm really looking forward to having some fun with this Patch blog - at least once or twice a week!  So, please comment here, comment on my home blog, engage and be informed!  If you have a topic you'd like me to cover, please let me know!

(…and in case you were wondering about any political bias…I’m bi-partisan.  I am a registered blue donkey, but I enjoy the red elephant in the room every now and then, and have been known to vote for it when s/he’s more practical than polarizing party politics.  Please do not accept a post about a particular candidate or his/her campaign events as an implicit endorsement from me or Patch.  I’ll let you know explicitly who I like.  Otherwise, I’m just providing information for you to make an informed decision.)

Thanks for reading - I look forward to plenty of fun posts with you!
