Gaithersburg will play host to the 2011 Hershey's State Track and Field Championships later this Saturday.
The meet will be at Watkins Mill High School and feature races for kids between 9 and 14 years old like the 50-meter dash, 800-meter run, softball throw and long jump.
The city held a local qualifying meet on June 3 and 64 kids qualified for the State finals.

Top finishers from the State meet will be evaluated against other runners in the region, and the top competitors could get invited to race in the National Championship meet in Hershey, PA in August.
The event will run from noon to 6 p.m.
