Rain Barrel Workshop - Muddy Branch Alliance

Rain barrels are designed to capture runoff from your downspouts, for use in watering your yard or garden.  The benefits to local streams and the greater watershed are significant in that the keep water on your property and not flowing down in a rush as stormwater.

The workshop is being promoted by the Muddy Branch Alliance http://www.facebook.com/pages/Muddy-Branch-Alliance/134042406666556?ref=ts), an all volunteer group local group interested in preserving the health of the local waterway known as the Muddy Branch.  Jennifer Willoughby of the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin (www.potomacriver.org) will present a rain barrel workshop.

Please come and learn about how to use this innovative technology at your home.
