Do you know where to purchase your lucky ticket for Wednesday night's $500 million Powerball jackpot? Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency spokeswoman Erica Palmisano recommended four locations in various parts of Gaithersburg. The multi-jurisdictional lottery is played in 42 states—including Maryland and Virginia—plus Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The game first arrived in the Old Line State in 2010.
The next drawing is set for Wednesday night.
The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing has climbed to a record $500 million after Saturday's drawing failed to produce a winner. Saturday marked the 15th consecutive Powerball drawing without a winner.
