A 17-year-old boy arrested this morning at Col. Zadok Magruder High School was found to be carrying an unloaded handgun, Montgomery County police said in a news release. The teenager was charged as an adult with possession of a weapon on school property and other weapon-related charges, police said. The student is a senior at Magruder High, but was not supposed to be at school on Thursday, Dana Tofig, a county schools spokesman, said in an email. “He was suspended, but I cannot say why,” Tofig wrote. A school resource officer saw the suspended student on school grounds at 7:53 a.m. and told him leave, the release said. Gaitehrsburg Police have arrested two men in connection with an alleged marijuana ring in the Muddy Branch area. On March 20, Matthew Warren Dellinger, 23, of Catherdral Street in Annapolis, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled paraphernalia. DNA led them to a 21-year-old Gaithersburg man.
Montgomery County Police have arrested a 21-year-old Gaithersburg man they say sexually assaulted a woman in Gaithersburg in December. Christopher Johnson, of the 9300 block of Willow Creek Drive, in the Verandahs neighborhood of Gaithersburg, was arrested Feb. 7 and charged with first-degree assault, first-degree sex offense, and robbery, police said. He was being held without bond, pending a bond review scheduled for today at 1pm in Rockville. According to police, at around 9:40 a.m. on Dec. 7, the 28-year-old female victim walked into a laundry room in an apartment complex in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard. 18-year-old Gonzalo Aldofo Quevedo-Garcia of Gaithersburg was charged on December 21 with one count of peeping tom and one count of visual surveillance with prurient intent stemming from an incident earlier in December at the Westfield Montgomery Shopping Mall. On December 10, a 24-year-old female contacted the police after an interaction with Quevedo-Garcia at the Guess store at Westfield Montgomery. The victim was approached by the suspect, who assisted her in locating pairs of blue jeans and a fitting room to try them on. She was asked several times by Quevedo-Garcia if she needed further assistance, which she declined.
