An alleged plot by a New York City police officer to kidnap, kill and cook a Germantown woman was foiled by the FBI, NBC Washington reported Wednesday. Gilberto Valle, 28, of Queens, NY, is on trial in a Manhattan federal court. He is charged with conspiring to kidnap women and illegally accessing a government database to research potential victims, according to the report. Kimberly Sauer, of Germantown, is a former classmate of Valle's at the University of Maryland, NBC Washington reported. Other women who prosecutors say were potential targets include a former high school classmate, two other former college classmates and an 18-year-old woman who attended Valle's high school alma mater.
