A Gaithersburg High School senior recorded a song inviting the daytime television talk show host to be the school's commencement speaker at graduation.
Could one of America's most beloved daytime talk show hosts be gracing Gaithersburg High School seniors with an appearance at graduation? A song by Gaithersburg senior Haley Lou Duff was written and posted on YouTube Saturday in hopes of bringing Ellen DeGeneres to DAR Constitution Hall this spring. The song, “Hey Ellen,” pays tribute to DeGeneres while imploring her to share her wisdom and humor as Gaithersburg's featured commencement speaker on May 31.
